How good are the schools in Edmond Oklahoma?

Oh man, the schools in Edmond? They’re kind of a big deal. Ask anyone around here why they moved, and chances are they’ll say, “The schools!” ...and they’re not wrong.
Edmond Public Schools (or EPS, as the cool kids call it) is legit one of the best school districts in Oklahoma. We’re talking 25,000+ students across 28 schools that are consistently winning awards and landing top spots on “best schools” lists. All three high schools... Memorial, North, and Santa Fe, are ranked among the top in the state. Not just for grades, but for sports, music, drama, you name it.
Teachers in Edmond are absolute rockstars. The student-teacher ratio hovers around 18:1, which means your kid’s not just a face in the crowd. And if your child is in AP classes, gifted programs, band, or just trying to find their thing there’s room to shine. Plus, EPS is super into keeping up with the times, so students are learning on tech that isn’t from the Stone Age.
It’s not just public schools either. There are top-notch private options like Oklahoma Christian School and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. And for the college crowd, UCO (University of Central Oklahoma) is right here in town, with a full slate of degrees and activities that bring energy to the community.
So yeah, if you’ve got kids (or plan to), Edmond is like hitting the education jackpot.
